Why did you decide to pursue an MSc at EDHEC Business School?

“I chose EDHEC Business School because of its prestigious reputation, being one of the highest-ranked European business schools, as well as its large alumni base. I had spoken to a few people who eventually convinced me to join EDHEC, as it seemed to be the right fit for me—and it was. I also chose it because of the flexibility of the online program offered, which is suitable for a busy working professional’s schedule.”

Why specialise in International Business Management?

“I chose International Business Management because it gives an international perspective, which is very useful to the work that I do, since a lot of my work involves cross-border trade and interacting with different cultures and different markets that operate in different ways.”

How have you applied what you’ve learned to your role?

“Some of the things I was able to apply immediately are tools for strategic foresight. One of the things that I learned is that, through strategic foresight, there’s a lot of benefit for me, especially because in sub-Saharan African markets, there’s not enough quantitative data but a lot of qualitative data that can inform strategy. So, being able to utilise the tools learned at EDHEC, I’m now able to better position myself and my company to succeed relative to our competitors in our market.”

How user-friendly is the EDHEC Online platform?

“The EDHEC Online platform is super easy to use. It allows you to plan your schedule ahead and shows you how much time you need to complete any module or course. This helps set you up for success if you plan ahead of time.”

How interactive is the EDHEC Online experience?

“The online experience at EDHEC is extremely interactive. There are online forums and tools such as Slack that allow students and staff to communicate. Feedback is also provided on the online platform, and there is extensive collaboration through group work that’s done online as well.”

What has surprised you most about your EDHEC experience?

“What surprised me about the whole experience so far at EDHEC is how well-connected the alumni base is to current students. The platform also allows you to access alumni services, and there’s a lot more to it than I thought, with alumni willing to give mentoring to students and willing to connect back with their alumni mentor.”

Why would you recommend this MSc program to others?

“I would definitely recommend this program to anyone that’s looking for an international environment where new ideas are at play and the opportunity to meet very interesting people all around the globe, doing very interesting things. I’m so grateful for this experience, and I would highly recommend it.”
