Online Masters in Finance

EDHEC Business School offers two fully online MSc programs specialising in finance, each with a distinct focus.

The Online MSc in Financial Management trains participants to manage an organisation’s financial resources efficiently. It focuses on financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and control, as well as at financial strategies that optimise capital structure, working capital, and risk management for long-term, sustainable performance. It is suitable for those currently working, or aspiring to work in organisations of any size, in roles such as FP&A Analyst, Finance Business Partner, Business Controller or Finance Manager, as well as to anyone with P&L responsibilities, such as entrepreneurs, business unit leaders, etc.

The Online MSc in Corporate Finance, on the other hand, trains participants to understand how to maximise the firm’s value through strategic investment or financing decisions. It focuses on capital structure, funding strategies, project finance, mergers & acquisitions and investment. It is aimed at those willing to work in fields such as M&A, Private Equity, Venture Capital, Real Estate, Investment Banking, etc.

The two programs have a significant core curriculum, including courses in corporate finance and accounting, but each also offers specific courses tailored to the chosen specialty, such as Mergers & Acquisitions for the MSc in Corporate Finance or Financial Planning & Forecasting for the MSc in Financial Management.

While we recommend that applicants have a basic understanding of finance, prior academic training or professional experience in the field is not required to apply for our Finance Master’s programmes.

EDHEC Online Masters use two different formats: asynchronous and synchronous learning. Asynchronous courses provide flexibility, allowing students to access course materials and complete assignments at their own pace. Synchronous classes require students to attend virtual sessions at scheduled times, enabling real-time interaction with professors, mentors, coaches, and classmates from anywhere. EDHEC Online programmes combine both e-learning types: synchronous activities with weekly live classes and real-time messaging between participants, professors and coaches, and high-quality asynchronous content by following an approach founded on user experience and gamification.
