“I’m Karim Benaddou, I’m from France but I live in Geneva, Switzerland. I’m Senior ALM (Asset and Liability Management) Treasury Front Officer at BNP Paribas Switzerland. I graduated from EDHEC Business School in 2022 from the Online MSc in International Business Management, and since then I had the chance to become an academic mentor at EDHEC Online.”

What are the benefits of the Online MSc in International Business Management?

“This International Business Management Master Programme is a 15-month programme, which is a pure online programme. It’s a mix of live sessions and you have also the possibility to interact with professors via tools like Slack.

You can learn many things from finance to business management and also benefiting from the fact that this is part of the FOME Alliance, where you have also courses with, for example, the University of Melbourne and ESMT Berlin as well. You also have the the career map and periodically some assignments. It could be a group work, individual work or a continuous exam as well. And you are not alone, you have a very strong support from the EDHEC administration, from the IT support, and from the EDHEC faculty as well.”

What is the consulting project about?

“The consulting project is very key in this programme because you have to work in a specific company on a specific project. For example, for me it was the case with the Canton of Geneva. So I work with the CFO of the Canton of Geneva and I help them find new levers in terms of sustainable finance to improve their communication in terms of sustainability”

How would you describe the effect of this programme on your career?

“I would say that this programme is transformational because it tackles today’s and tomorrow’s challenges in terms of artificial intelligence but also in terms of sustainability. And I think that it’s very key for the young generation to learn and to improve their skills on those areas.

I’m very glad to be part of this EDHEC Online family, because today I’m part of EDHEC faculty as well. And I know that we will meet a lot of new students during my new classes in the future, so I really look forward to meeting you soon and also to meeting new alumni.”
