“I am Nabil Kechida, I’m 34 years old, I’m French and living close to Nice, south-east of France. For the past 11 years, I used to work as a senior account manager, and I recently started as a data consultant for an IT company named Keyrus.”
How does the Online MSc in Data Management & Business Analytics programme prepare you to excel as a Data Consultant?
“The programme is divided in two parts: you have the data management and the business analytics. It’s really following the name of the programme. You have technical courses as introduction with Python, Data Manipulation, Data Visualisation, courses that are related to data management like relational and non-relational databases. It is something that I’m doing every day right now, working with SQL languages, databases. Machine learning is also something that I started to work with for different projects.
But there is also the business part, like Marketing Analytics, a great course by the way. We have Managing Innovation and different other courses that will show you how to apply the technical knowledge to the practical cases”
How would you describe the online learning environment?
“The platform is user friendly. People at EDHEC are willing to make sure that you have the best experience. The IT team is really invested in helping all the students and the professors will take all the time you need. We organise online meetings with the class, just to talk, to share and to help each other. And I was really lucky to meet some of them in person, and I will try to meet all of them during the celebration that will take place in Lille in a few months from now.”
What is your key takeaway from your EDHEC experience?
“It’s a real degree so it has these challenges that come with it, but the reward is great. You will meet fantastic people, you will also learn about yourself, especially during the coaching programme.
Invest yourself 100% and I’m confident to say that at the end, you will be rewarded and that you will become a better person and better prepared for the challenges you will face next.”
