Why did you choose to pursue the Online MSc in Corporate Finance with EDHEC?

“I wanted to stop being the guy who just reports numbers — I wanted to make them tell a story. I also wanted to challenge myself: can I juggle a career, a master’s degree, and a social life? The answer is yes. Sometimes my friends had to compete with Excel, but now they ask me to do their budgeting.

EDHEC has a top reputation in finance, and if you love finance, you go to the best. The bonus was the Imperial College partnership and venture capital. Suddenly, I wasn’t just studying financial statements — I was studying how investors look at startups. Basically, I started asking myself not what do these numbers tell me, but what can these numbers become?

Tell us about your experience studying online.

“It was nothing like the boring stereotype of online courses — it was actually fun. It was full of debates and interactions, and I made a lot of friends from all over the world who I’m still in touch with today. Our WhatsApp groups were legendary — 50% finance, 50% memes about deadlines.

How did the programme help you in your current role?

“Before EDHEC, I was the guy who delivered reports. Now, I’m the guy people ask, ‘What does this actually mean?’ The biggest change is confidence. I’m not just delivering numbers anymore — I’m shaping decisions. And between us, when your boss quotes you in a meeting, that’s when you know the degree was actually worth it.”
